About Us
Cindy Apap

With over 30 years of experience working with both children and adults in diverse settings like education, medical, and private practice, I’m thrilled to share my journey with you! I proudly graduated from California State University Long Beach in 1994 with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Communication Disorders. As a certified member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), I’m about making a difference!
After my career in California, I made the exciting move to Australia in 1998. While living in beautiful Melbourne with my husband and baby, I embraced opportunities in hospitals, education, and private practice before relocating to the stunning Gold Coast in 2005. I love Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and assistive technology, especially for those with MND, ALS, and CP, as well as autistic individuals.
I’m passionate about empowering individuals to unlock their full communication potential! Whether it’s supporting literacy development, improving speech sounds, or mastering the understanding and production of language, I love helping people express exactly what they want, in the way they want to say it!"
As an accredited Key Word Sign Australia presenter, I am dedicated to supporting people to meet their communication goals. I have years of experience helping people successfully communicate by implementing a variety of AAC programs, including TD Snap, Proloquo2go, Unity software on Liberator devices, eyegaze programs and devices and more! I would love to provide training and family support tailored to your needs.
Thank you for visiting! I can’t wait to help you or your loved one achieve your functional communication goals. Referrals to other exceptional allied health professionals are available upon request!
